49th Street Youth Shelter

The 49th Street Youth Shelter is a program that is designed to assist youth who do not have an appropriate place to stay. Youth are provided with support in a caring and safe environment. Counseling and other programs can be provided.

Who do we serve?

  • Youth 12-17
  • Homeless youth
  • Runaway youth
  • Families in crisis

Services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The 49th Steet Youth Shelter is an eight bed facility which houses three different programs offered to youth and families.

  • Crisis Care
  • Stabilization
  • Community Transitions
Outreach

THe 49th Street Youth Shelter also serves as a useful "outreach" to the community. The shelter is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The crisis line is often used by teens and families seeking support. The Youth Shelter is maintained by qualified and experienced staff, as well as devoted volunteers.
