Youth and Volunteer Centre of Red Deer

Camp Alexo is owned and operated by the Youth and Volunteer Centre of Red Deer, and is located 70km west of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, in the heart of David Thompson Country. Camp Alexo offers a wide variety of recreational, residential, and adventure-based wilderness programs for children and youth 7-17 years of age.

Camp Alexo offers 6 residential camps with an emphasis on life skills development through an adventure based approach, and a traditional camp program offering a diversified experience for all campers.

Maximum number of campers at any camp is 60, which allows for an excellent camper/counselor ratio (3:1) and maximizes the potential impact benefit to the camper. All counselors are appropriately trained and screened in accordance to accepted standards.

Camp Alexo is also an accredited camp with the ACA - Alberta Camping Association and a member of the CCA-Canadian Camping Association.
