Youth and Volunteer Centre of Red Deer![]() It's not about homework! This is a program that takes place at the child's school, during the school year. You spend one hour per week doing a fun activity or just talking with a child who could use a friend. We encourage employers to give employees the time during the work day to volunteer... studies show that people who volunteer perform better on the job! Employers can also become involved in this program by allowing staff 1 hour of paid time per week to mentor a child in a school setting. This is a great way to get your company and employee team actively involved in the community, and to raise your company's profile through those efforts. There are numerous businesses supporting this program. Click here for more information on our In School Mentoring Program. ![]()
